The award recognizes the accomplishments of the travel management practitioners who have distinguished themselves in the past year by advancing innovation and best practices in the corporate travel industry.
SAN DIEGO – The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), the voice of the business travel industry, today congratulated Karoline Mayr, CCTE, GTP, Director, Global Travel Procurement of Deltek, Inc., for receiving the Business Travel News Travel Manager of the Year Award.

Her years of service exemplify the spirit of volunteerism that drives the success of GBTA.”
The award honors the North American travel buyer who has exerted the most positive influence on travel management and for elevating individual travel management practices. David Meyer, editorial director, Business Travel News and The BTN Group, presented this year’s coveted Travel Manager of the Year award yesterday at the Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter during the GBTA Convention.
Vicky is the co-founder of TravelDailyNews Media Network where she is the Editor-in Chief. She is also responsible for the daily operation and the financial policy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
She has many years of both academic and industrial experience within the travel industry. She has written/edited numerous articles in various tourism magazines.
