Greek-Turkish tourism forum in Bodrum

Greek and Turkish foreign ministry and tourism officials along with travel industry entrepreneurs met in Bodrum (Alikarnassos) for a conference on October 16-17.
The forum was held within the framework of continuing low-level Greek-Turkish talks on uncontentious issues after earthquakes in both countries prompted mutual aid efforts.
Hellenic Association of Travel & Tourist Agencies (HATTA<.>) deputy chairman Spiros Ginis stressed the need for a "tourism moratorium" during the tourist season and beyond in order to prevent problems and tension arising in the Aegean so that visitors could fully enjoy their visit to this unique region.
All efforts should be made to ensure the Aegean is a sea of peace, friendship and cooperation in terms of tourism, read a statement from the tourism forum.
Greek officials and tourism sector employees received a warm welcome and as the conference was extended, their Turkish counterparts provided a traditional boat to ferry them back to Kos….
