James Rees, Chair of ICCA UK & Ireland Chapter the international trade association, has called upon all UK associations and bodies to collaborate more closely as the recession continues to take its toll on the events industry. “We have some outstanding people in this industry with an extraordinary amount of talent and knowledge, and it is time that these skills and resources were shared for the benefit of all” said Rees.
ICCA UK & Ireland are preparing to invite all associations to participate in an industry wide event later in the year, designed to provide a broad platform for sharing knowledge and best practice. “All associations have their own unique profile and agendas, but if there was a time when it was necessary to put aside those agendas and work together, now is it.”
