BRUSSELS – Global Taxi Network is expanding its coverage with the addition of three new partners – MT Data, IT Curves and Mobile Knowledge. With three new app providers onboard, it’ll be much easier for customers to use high quality, safe and legal taxi services in North America and Australia.

President of the IRU Taxi Group, Hubert Andela said, “With three more app providers joining our Global Taxi Network, customers now have even more opportunities to order safe, secure and legal taxis in North America and Australia. Our ambition is not just to be present in over 500 cities, but to cover the world, and these new partners bring this ambition closer to reality.”

Alfred LaGasse, CEO of the Taxicab, Limousine & Paratransit Association (TLPA) said, “We are very pleased that three of the leading taxi app providers in North America promptly applied for and were certified by the new TLPA Certification Committee for the North American Operations of the IRU Global Taxi Network. These apps dispatch approximately 50,000 licensed taxis throughout North America. We are extremely encouraged that this programme will continue to grow, creating a safe and reliable worldwide network of taxi apps that will work seamlessly for consumers everywhere.”

It achieves this by using the latest smartphone technology in accordance with the regulatory framework in force. The network now operates on four continents encompassing 250,500 taxis worldwide.
