Kos or Lisbon will host the next year

The dilemma of ABTA<.> for the host city of its annual conference for 2000 took an end last week, with the winner to be the island of Kos<.>.
The candidature of Kos took 6 out of 10 of the votes of the ABTA board of directors, bringing happiness to everyone who worked hard for this outcome.
The Hellenic Tourist Organisation in London as well as the executives of Kipriotis Village Conference Centre, that will host the conference, worked hard to eliminate the barriers and to realise the organisation of this very important conference on the island of Kos.
The candidature of Lisbon was the fourth in a row, and the competition between the two destinations really hard. However, the infrastructure and the facilities of the new 2,200-seat conference centre helped in the decision. The problems with the direct flight connections are solved. Kosmar holidays along with Air 2000 and Airtours will cover about 1,500 seats, as well as Olympic Airways which will cover another 800 seats more. The total number of delegates is expected to be more than 2000.
