NACTA’s new consumer website connecting travelers with travel consultants

Users currently can search for a travel consultant based on location. Within the next 30 days, they also will be able to find a consultant based on destination and specialty.

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The National Association of Career Travel Agents (NACTA) is bridging the gap between consumers looking for professional advice on travel planning and NACTA members eager to help them make the right purchase decision for the ultimate travel experience. By launching FindATravelConsultant.com NACTA is helping consumers understand the value of using the services of a professional travel consultant.  

This new consumer website benefits both consumers and NACTA members by first garnering the interest of consumers travel desires then showcasing the experience and niche specialties of NACTA members through their individual travel profiles called the NACTA “One Sheet”. For those consumers unsure of How or Why to use a professional travel consultant, the website provides information to clearly educate the traveler on why doing it alone might not be in their best interest. Users currently can search for a travel consultant based on location. Within the next 30 days, they also will be able to find a consultant based on destination and specialty. “Announcing this new member benefit at our annual conference this fall was received with welcome applause as NACTA is able to source new business for its valued members” said NACTA President Ann van Leeuwen. “Helping NACTA travel consultants profile their expertise and introducing new clients that value their expertise is a win-win for both travel consultants and suppliers looking to grow their business.”    

The new consumer website is already being seen by NACTA members as a valuable tool. Kelly Bergin, vice president of OASIS, called it “another great benefit from NACTA” and a great way for consultants to receive sales leads. “The new FindATravelConsultant.com website not only showcases NACTA agents, it helps consumers understand how and why to use a professional and the short video clip is engaging as it sends the correct message to consumers,” said Bergin.

NACTA members who have not yet completed their profiles to be visible to the traveling public, or who need to update their profiles, should log in to the Members Only section of NACTA.com and complete the NACTA “One Sheet” to take advantage of this new tool.
