New President for ETTFA

At its quarterly membership meeting, the European Tourism Trade Fairs Association (ETTFA<.>) elected David Hammond as President of the Association for the forthcoming year. Mr. Hammond is Director of ITE Travel Exhibitions, organisers of three ETTFA member shows: MITT Moscow, Holiday World Prague and EMITT Istanbul. Mr. Hammond will retain his position as Treasurer of the Association in addition to his new responsibilities as President.



"It is an honour for me to be elected by my peers as President of this prestigious organisation," says David, "I am confident that my professional involvement with ETTFA over the past few years as a member and Treasurer have prepared me well for my exciting new role of President. There are many opportunities to embrace in the coming year and I am enthusiastic to explore them on behalf of ETTFA."



ETTFA brings together 20 of Europe's leading tourism exhibitions and membership is limited to those exhibitions, which meet strictly controlled standards.



During his 4 year tenure as Director of ITE Travel Exhibitions, David Hammond has expanded the portfolio to seven international travel and tourism events.



ITE Travel Exhibitions organises the following exhibitions: ITM Bombay (2-4/11/2000), Holiday World Prague (8-11/02/2001), EMITT Istanbul (22-25/02/2001, MITT Moscow (28-31/03/2001), UITT Kiev (4-7/04/2001), Gulf 2001 Jeddah (05/2001) and EXPOCOTAL Miami (27-29/09/2001).
