RBC Insurance extends partnership with ACTA

Alliance makes RBC Insurance the ACTA retail travel insurance supplier of choice.

MISSISSAUGA – RBC Insurance has announced it has extended its alliance with the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA). Under the new agreement, RBC Insurance will partner closely with ACTA on various travel industry initiatives, including providing travel insurance information for the ACTA website and its publications.

“We’re pleased to be renewing our agreement with ACTA and thereby reaffirming our support of retail travel agents across Canada and the important role they play in our business” said Mark Linton, vice president, Travel Sales, RBC Insurance. “Our goal in this alliance is to continue to generate greater consumer awareness around the need for travel insurance while continuing our long standing support of the retail travel agency community.”

For over 30 years, RBC Insurance has supported ACTA and its value proposition to the travel industry and once again has received ACTA’s “Seal of Approval”, which recognizes the company as the consumer travel insurance provider of choice for ACTA travel agencies and their customers.

“We are very happy to continue our work with RBC Insurance,” states David McCaig, President and COO of ACTA. “With the increase in Cruise Travel, adventure travel, and multi generation family travel, vacationing trends have become more sophisticated and Canadian travellers need to be protected without confusion, misinterpretation or doubt.”

RBC Insurance also offers accredited ACTA travel agents extensive training programs on its products and services in order to provide their clients with personalized travel insurance plans.

David goes on to mention “It is critical for our members to have access to relevant content and education. By continuing our partnership with RBC Insurance, our members have the opportunity to be well positioned to offer clients ‘peace of mind’ when travelling.”
