Rockliffe Hall in County Durham offers 11 meeting rooms, which can accommodate between two and 250 people and an 18-hole championship golf course.

Five star golf and spa hotel Rockliffe Hall has become a member of the Meetings Industry Association (mia) – one of the fastest growing associations in the conference, meetings and events sector.

Members of the mia benefit from extensive industry networking opportunities, increased sales opportunities, preferential rates for training and professional development events, best practice frameworks and guidance as well as access to data and industry insight from powerful benchmarking tools and greater commercial insight.

Rockliffe Hall in County Durham is a 61-bedroom luxury hotel with award-winning spa and three restaurants, including 4 AA Rosette restaurant The Orangery. The resort also offers 11 meeting rooms, which can accommodate between two and 250 people and an 18-hole championship golf course.

As part of its membership, the resort has also achieved the mia’s highly acclaimed AIM accreditation. AIM is the nationally recognised standard for venues and service providers in the meetings, conferences and events industry, with 50 strict criteria which must be met to achieve accreditation.

Eamonn Elliott, Chief Executive at Rockliffe Hall, said: “Rockliffe Hall chose to become part of mia because it is recognised as one of the leading trade associations in the UK. They’re a perfect fit for Rockliffe Hall and will enable us to network with like for like peers within the industry, senior decision makers and buyers. Being a mia member will also give us an additional insight into industry trends within the meetings and event market and we look forward to attending mia events, which allow an open forum for all independent hotels to share knowledge and best practice.”

Jane Longhurst, mia chief executive, said: “We’re delighted to welcome top hotel, golf and spa resort, Rockliffe Hall as a member of mia and hope it will enjoy all the benefits associated with it. The resort has joined a community of forward-thinking, bright and vibrant industry professionals and we believe its position in the market will only strengthen as a result.”
