RTCA and EUROCAE sign updated Memorandum of Cooperation

The MOC renews the agreement for both organizations to continue working together with aviation regulators and industry to develop comprehensive standards for critical aviation modernization.

WASHINGTON DC & PARIS – RTCA and EUROCAE renewed their commitment of cooperation in the development of joint standards for aviation systems. During the annual RTCA Global Aviation Symposium held in Crystal City, VA, RTCA President Terry McVenes and EUROCAE Secretary General Christian Schleifer-Heingartner signed the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC). The MOC renews the agreement for both organizations to continue working together with aviation regulators and industry to develop comprehensive standards for critical aviation modernization.

“This agreement reaffirms the international spirit of collaboration and partnership between RTCA and EUROCAE in the development of standards that advance safety and efficiency in the skies. We are very pleased to continue this cooperative work”, said Mr. McVenes.

Mr. Schleifer emphasized that “the longstanding collaboration with RTCA strengthens our standards and makes them truly supportive of international harmonization and global interoperability, which is appreciated by industry and regulators, like EASA, the FAA and at the global level by ICAO. The updated agreement provides a solid basis for continued successful cooperation between RTCA and EUROCAE.”
