The invitation for a private company to be established so that it can undertake a diversified advertising campaign that would promote Greece as a prime tourist destination, was again referred to by the Federation of Greek Tourist Enterprises (SETE<.>) recently. Underlining the opportunities aligned to the Greek tourism industry ahead of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens at a press conference, SETE urged officials to initiate a suitable advertising campaign quickly towards the benefit of the Games as well as the tourism industry as a whole. After reviewing the efforts made by Spanish and Australian officials (Olympic Games of 1996, 2000, respecitively) to capitalize on the athletics events for tourist reasons, it was determined that competent advertising campaigns surely secure more opportunities before, during and after the Games, added SETE officials.
