During their first assembly the founding members of the Hellenic Aviation Society, which recently founded in Greece, determined its future actions. The aims of the Society, which is an initiative of many leading executives of the Greek aviation industry, are the following:


  • To contribute to the progress and promotion of the science of air transport.

  • To promote and present to the wider public the work of aviation and its contribution to the economic, political and social development of Greece.

  • To offer survey, research and consultative assistance to governmental and private institutions involved in aviation matters.

  • To cooperate with Higher Education Corporations and other organizations engaged in the area of aviation.

  • To create and keep Historical Archives and a Library for both Hellenic and international aviation.


The board of directors consists of:


  • President: Emmanuel Keramianakis, Air Transport Consultant

  • Vice-President: Dr Alexandra Fragoudaki, Economist

  • Secretary General: Dr Kostas Iatrou, Economist/ Air Transport Analyst

  • Treasurer: Takis Adamidis, Economist/Transport Expert

  • Member: Panos Gounaris, Attorney-at-Law

  • Member: Spyros Yiankovits, Commercial Pilot/Aircraft-Builder

  • Member: Elliott Kefalas, Athens International Airport employee
