World Tourism and Travel Council joins the International Council of Tourism Partners

The International Council of Tourism Partners (ICTP<.>) has announced the joining of the World Tourism and Travel Council (WTTC<.>) to their growing list of members.

One of our objectives is to establish strategic alliances with other organizations in order to provide a wide range of resources for our members, said ICTP Chairman Thomas Steinmetz, who disclosed that ICTP is honored to welcome WTTC to their members stable. Steinmetz expressed optimism in this latest ICTP development because he expects WTTC to bring a wealth of resources to ICTP.

It is through coalitions among organizations such WTTC and ICTP that allows us to mobilize many of our proposed projects, added Steinmetz. According to him, ICTP recognizes the significance of working together to create synergy that makes it possible to create lasting positive impacts.

Among the many achievements of WTTC is their unquestionable integrity in the industry, mentioned Steinmetz. According to him, the WTTC prides itself as an organization that envisions the future of tourism and travel as everybody’s future. The WTTC works with governments to analyze the impact of Travel & Tourism across economies and to reflect this in policy-making. With major international policy and regulatory bodies having too often a limited and narrow understanding of Travel & Tourism, the WTTC has taken on the role of coalition-builder amongst these and other stakeholders who could benefit from dialogue and joint partnerships.

Steinmetz also expressed his delight in garnering such favorable response from the industry. According to him, ICTP currently has members in 85 countries. From small travel agencies in Nepal to worldwide governmental agencies and organizations such as the World Tourism Organization, ICTP has been harvesting a diverse collection of responses and is quickly establishing a global network of concerned freedom-loving citizens, stated Steinmetz. …
