In August 2024, Air Serbia achieved record performance, carrying 558,524 passengers and operating 5,278 flights, marking significant growth and network expansion.
In August 2024, Air Serbia carried a total of 558,524 passengers on scheduled and charter flights, up 4.7% year over year. The company operated 5,278 flights from all three international airports in Serbia, up 3.6% compared to August 2023. This is Air Serbia’s best result in terms of passengers carried and flights operated in a single month since the national airline started operating under its current name.
“We recently carried our third millionth passenger this year. This result was accomplished 15 days earlier compared to the last record-setting year. After our busiest July, now comes August, during which we broke all the current records in terms of passengers carried and operated flights. The success motivates us to keep improving our services and expanding our network of destinations. As early as 19 September, we will be renewing our flights to Nice, and on 30 September we will inaugurate the scheduled flights between Belgrade and Guangzhou”, said Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek.
Air Serbia’s most popular regional destinations in August were Tivat and Podgorica. As for Western Europe, the most popular destinations were Zurich, Paris, Frankfurt, and Barcelona, while the most popular Euro-Mediterranean destinations were Istanbul, Larnaca, and Athens. During the last month, there was also a high demand for flights to New York in North America.
Air Serbia is the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, the successor of the first national airline, Aeroput, established in Belgrade in 1927. We have been operating under our present name since October 2013.
