Air Serbia is expanding Niš operations and hiring new staff

Air Serbia is currently working on securing and furnishing the office space in downtown Niš where the new contact centre agents and CLC agents will work.

After a great turnout at the recently completed recruitment drive for new agents at Air Serbia Contact Centre in Niš, the Serbian national airline has decided to double the number of agents to be employed in this city. Around 400 candidates from Niš and the surrounding area submitted their applications, and after testing and identifying dozens of exceptional candidates, Air Serbia now intends to employ 40 new agents in the first phase instead of the 20, which was the original plan. The competition was opened after Air Serbia decided to hire additional agents in its Niš contact centre, alongside agents in Belgrade, with the goal of providing even better service to the customers.

In addition to the contact centre agents, the Serbian national airline will strengthen its capacities in Niš also by opening an aircraft balancing service in that city by its daughter company Air Serbia Ground Services (ASGS). The dedicated department for Load control in the first phase will count 10 agents.

“We are very satisfied with the response the advertised positions have received, as well as the fact that we identified excellent candidates. Additionally, as the national airline, we are extremely proud that we can contribute to employment rate and local economic development of this part of Serbia. Our Niš base is very significant for Air Serbia and we plan to additionally bolster our presence in the south of Serbia. In the coming period, as part of the works on the completion of the new terminal, we are planning to open a special business lounge. We are also considering the possibility of adding more technicians who would work on fleet maintenance,” said Jiří Marek, Air Serbia CEO.

During the summer season, the Serbian national airline will operate direct flights from Constantine the Great Airport in Niš to Athens, Cologne, Frankfurt-Hahn, Istanbul, Ljubljana and Tivat. In addition to scheduled routes, Air Serbia will also operate charter flights to popular summer destinations.
