Air Serbia’s direct Belgrade-Catania flights commenced

By introducing a direct service, Air Serbia offers passengers the possibility of excellent connections from Catania, via Belgrade, to Paris, Stockholm, Dusseldorf, Istanbul, Lyon, Zurich, Berlin, Amsterdam, Oslo, Tivat, Prague, Zagreb, Podgorica, Vienna, Stuttgart, Hanover, Ljubljana, Copenhagen and other cities in its network.

On April 14th at 01:25 pm, Air Serbia’s flight JU538, marked the launch of direct flights between Belgrade and Catania. During the summer season, every Monday and Friday, the national airline will be operating flights to Catania–Fontanarossa Airport (Aeroporto Internazionale
Vincenzo Bellini di Catania-Fontanarosa), located 4.3 km southwest of the city.

“Italy is one the most popular destinations for tourists. Our company operates scheduled flights to Rome, Bologna, Milan, Venice, Bari, and Trieste, and today we commenced seasonal service to Catania. In the coming period, we will expand our presence in Italy by adding flights to another three cities in our growing network. Direct flights to Catania will allow passengers to more comfortably and quickly reach the largest island of the Mediterranean, famous for its unique culture, proximity to the most beautiful European beaches, traditions and lifestyle of the local population,” stated Bojan Aranđelović, Head of Network Planning and Scheduling, Air Serbia.

Catania is a cosmopolitan, vibrant and eclectic city, rich with numerous cultural and historic monuments, beautiful beaches and a nature reserve. Catania’s Palazzo Biscari was described in Goethe’s works, while UNESCO declared parts of the city world heritage, and still today,
below the city stand the Thermae of Achilles, a Roman amphitheatre, and the gladiators’ bathhouse. Tourists from all over the world are also attracted by Mount Etna, the tallest active volcano in Europe.
