His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President, Dubai Department of Civil Aviation, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, has lent his patronage to the recently-launched Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) B2B exhibition which will be held at Airport Expo Dubai in June next year.

“With recent industry research forecasting that commercial airlines within the Middle East will buy an additional 870 aircraft by 2027 while the region’s business aviation fleet will double to 600 aircraft over the next five years, regional demand for innovative interiors, including state-of-the-art entertainment systems, will rise to unprecedented levels,” said Sheikh Ahmed.

“Airlines in this region have been recognised throughout the industry with setting the agenda on interior advancements and their specifications are now amongst the most demanding in the world. A dedicated B2B forum for this important sector is a natural progression of the region’s expanding commercial and business aviation landscape.”

AIME is being organised by Fairs & Exhibitions (F&E), the name behind the Dubai Airshow and the Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) conference and exhibition which it organises on behalf of the Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA).

“With this patronage His Highness Sheikh Ahmed and the Dubai Government are once again demonstrating their unwavering support for initiatives which will ensure the emirate maintains its international aviation hub status,” said Virginia Kern, Chairman, F&E.

AIME, which will run over June 16 and 17 next year, will focus on aircraft and VIP interiors, airline cabin systems and in-flight entertainment.
