The new service creates a spectacular connection for business and leisure travellers between Fujairah and the northern Emirates, and Dubai, where Emarat Link`s Cessna Caravan seaplanes, taking off and landing on the Creek, are already a familiar sight.
The launch of Emarat Link`s twice-daily flights has been warmly welcomed by Fujairah Civil Aviation Authority, which formed an official delegation to mark inaugural flights between Fujairah International Airport and Dubai. A number of VIP guests, and invited media, were flown from Dubai to Fujairah for the inauguration.
This is a valuable new service for those travelling between Fujairah and Dubai on business, and it becomes an exciting new way for people to visit Fujairah, and the northern Emirates, for leisure and relaxation as well said Khaled Al Mazroui, General Manager, Fujairah International Airport.
Thomas Bommer, Emarat Link`s General Manager, commented: We expect the service to be immediately popular with businessmen and officials travelling regularly between Fujairah and Dubai.
But the opportunities for leisure travellers are also obvious, and we have started building relationships with hotels and tour operators to allow us to offer a wide range of attractive getaway packages.
He added: People of all ages, and from all sectors of business, and the local communities, will see this as a convenient, efficient, comfortable and extremely safe way to travel between Dubai and Fujairah. And a lot more fun, and less hassle, than by road.
The Emarat Link flights take off daily from Dubai Creek at 8.30am and 3.20pm, and from Fujairah International Airport at 9.40am and 4.30pm. Flying time is just 25 minutes.

In Dubai, Emarat Link offers quick and easy departures from its unique floating terminal opposite Deira City Centre adjacent to the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.
Presently offering charters, and a selection of 45-minute, 20-minute and ten-minute sightseeing tours in and around Dubai, Emarat Link will shortly launch a shuttle service from the Abu Dhabi Corniche to Dubai Creek.
