Aviation-Event 2023 CLJ takes place today at Cluj in Romania

Răzvan Ciortea Cluj County Deputy Governor opened the Aviation Event 2023 CLJ by sharing some overviews about Cluj.

Aviation-Event 2023 CLJ is taking place today in Cluj, Romania, one of the most vibrant European cities, with a multicultural environment, also named the ‘Heart of Transylvania’ not just because of its geographical position, but also for its role in the historical and economic development of the region. The city is one of the most important academic, cultural, industrial, and business centres in Romania, the second after the capital Bucharest.

Aviation-Event invites, since 2007, business leaders from the aviation industry and politics to the annual conference to discuss current topics and find solutions for issues the aviation industry is concerned about.

The Aviation-Event 2023 CLJ agenda includes topics of interest for global and European aviation, with a focus on the recovery of traffic to pre-pandemic levels, but also new strategies and perspectives for the future of the entire aviation ecosystem.

Răzvan Ciortea, Cluj County Deputy Governor, opened Aviation-Event 2023 CLJ by sharing some overview about Cluj, during Aviation-Event 2023 CLJ. The event was honoured to have the presence of Emil Boc, Mayor, Cluj-Napoca City, virtually in Aviation-Event 2023 CLJ. Olivier Jankovec, Director General, Airports Council International (ACI) Europe, was a keynote speaker in a talk moderated by Marcel Riwalsky, CEO of the Aviation Event.

The First Panel started with some interesting discussions about the various challenges aviation faces in Europe, titled “Challenges for European Aviation – Green prospects, operational resilience, and disruptions”. Also, Aviation-Event introduced a new interesting session, Roundtable talks with key representatives from the European aviation industry in Aviation-Event 2023 CLJ.

Aviation-Event welcomed József Váradi, CEO, Wizz Air at Aviation-Event 2023 CLJ as one of the highlighted keynote speakers. Also, David Ciceo, CEO, Cluj International Airport as the opening keynote speaker at Aviation-Event 2023 CLJ.

Paulos Ashebir Lakew, Head of Industry Analysis, S&E Economics IATA, presented the economic outlook of the airline industry during the VIP Reception moderated by Ioanna Papadopoulou, Director of Communications & Marketing, Athens International Airport.

Finally, as a token of appreciation, Aviation Event awarded Athens Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACVB) for helping to choose one of the best conference locations in Athens during Aviation Event 2022 ATH on July 2022. Also, Codruta Vintu, Managing Partner, Amprenta Advertising was awarded, for their immense support and cooperation in helping with the media production activities for Aviation Event 2022 CLJ.
