Continental Airlines received the "Outstanding Food Service by a Carrier" award in the Americas category at the PAX International Readership Awards 2010. This is the second consecutive year and third time overall that the readers of PAX International have recognized Continental for its onboard meal service.
The awards recognize excellence in performance achievement and product development. PAX International, which is recognized as a key signpost for the travel catering industry, conducts a readership survey to select winners.
"We are excited to receive this award for the second straight year and to be in such great company with other award-winning airlines and caterers from around the world," said Food Services Vice President Sandra Pineau-Boddison. "We work hard to ensure our customers receive meals of the highest quality."
PAX Internationalis a trade publication that has covered the travel catering industry since 1997. In addition to publishing six times per year, PAX International has a twice-monthly newsletter devoted to travel catering, cabin service and entertainment for airlines, cruise lines and railroads.
