Delta Air Lines<.> responding to strong customer demand between New York and Florida, will offer customers more seats than any other carrier between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Florida this winter.

Delta will add the seats by reallocating 183-seat Boeing 757 aircraft to Florida markets currently being served by 119-seat Boeing 737-200s. This increases Delta’s capacity to serve customers between New York’s JFK Airport and Florida by more than 50 percent.

This winter, Delta, Delta Express and the Delta Connection carriers will offer 266 flights and 43,288 seats weekly to Florida from New York’s LaGuardia, John F. Kennedy International, Newark and Islip airports.

Strong customer demand between New York and Florida has allowed us to reallocate existing capacity to this important market and give our customers even more choices for travel between Florida and our JFK gateway — where we offer nonstop service to more transatlantic destinations than any other carrier, said Subodh Karnik, Delta’s senior vice president – Network and Revenue Management.
