Elixr Coffee Roasters opens its seventh location at Philadelphia International Airport, offering artisanal coffees in collaboration with Jackmont Hospitality, enhancing the airport’s dining experience.
PHILADELPHIA – Elixr Coffee Roasters joined the PHL Food & Shops family as the piping-hot, newest addition to the airport’s ever-expanding supergroup of concessionaires. The veteran Philly roastery makes its Philadelphia International Airport debut following two decades of brewing and serving classic and specialty coffee at six other thriving locations. The PHL opening marks the seventh store for Elixr.
Elixr is brought to PHL in collaboration with Jackmont Hospitality, a renowned operator of top-quality restaurants in high-traffic locations. The award-winning foodservice management company is an industry leader in developing and operating restaurants at airports and other venues. Within its varied portfolio, Jackmont operates two TGI Fridays locations in Philadelphia.
“This exciting new launch promises Philly passengers an enjoyable experience. It’s an ideal combination of Elixr’s top-of-the-line coffees and Jackmont’s hallmark service,” said Jackmont Hospitality CEO and Co-Founder Daniel Halpern.
PHL’s Elixr offers passengers an elevated coffee experience featuring artisanal brews and masterfully crafted espressos. Guests will enjoy classic Elixr favorites – such as lattes, cappuccinos, hot chocolate, coffee milkshakes, cold drinks and various teas – in addition to pastries and lighter bites sourced from local bakeries.
Elixr’s journey began in 2010, when founder Evan Inatome’s small coffeehouse concept launched in Philly with business partner and former Eagles player Winston Justice. The brand quickly stirred up major buzz by serving specialty, lighter-roasted coffee in Center City, and later expanded with multiple local shops, plus locations in State College, Pennsylvania, and Nashville, Tennessee.
“Since Elixr started in Philly, we’re particularly proud to expand with our newest location at PHL, one of the region’s busiest locations,” said Inatome. “We are travelers ourselves and know the comfort and importance of a great cup of coffee away from home.”
An international roasting operation is a key ingredient in Elixr’s ongoing success. Sourcing beans from dedicated farms in specific regions delivers a unique flavor profile with a richness and purity that coffee lovers love. “Beekeeper Expresso,” “Jardines Del Eden, Colombia,” and “Guayabal, Costa Rica,” are among the specialty standouts, along with many others.
“We’re very pleased to welcome Elixr to Philadelphia International Airport,” said Mel Hannah, Vice President and General Manager of MarketPlace PHL. “Passengers can always look forward to a great cup of coffee from Elixr to start their travels and throughout each day.”
