Emirates – CAE flight Training has expanded its client base with the recent signing of a Flight Training Services agreement with Dubai Air Wing.

Pilots operating the B737 Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) will receive European JAA and UAE GCAA – approved training in the latest B737-800 Full Flight Simulator (FFS), designed and built by CAE.

Gary Chapman, Emirates’ Chief Director Support & Development, said: As the first such simulator training center for these aircraft types in the Middle East, our flight training facility, in partnership with CAE, is set to play a vital role within the region’ aviation industry.

We are very pleased to be able to extend this service to our colleagues at Dubai Air Wing.

Emirates – CAE Flight Training facility is located at Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZ) and will expand into the new Emirates Aviation College being built opposite Dubai Tennis Stadium, due to open mid-2003.

The 14-bay center, when completed, will be a state-of-the-art training facility incorporating modern classrooms and briefing rooms. It will initially house six FFSs, including a Boeing 737-NG/BBJ, an Airbus A319/A320/A321 and an A330/340.

At their Montreal, Canada plant, CAE is currently building two more corporate jet FFSs, a Gulfstream IV and a Gulfstream V.

Emirates – CAE Flight Training is the partnership formed in July 2001 between Emirates and CAE Inc., manufacturer of integrated training solutions to the global aviation industry and supplier of Emirates’ current fleet of flight and emergency evacuation simulators.
