Frontier launches new nonstop Des Moines service

Frontier Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, Inc., is celebrating the launch of its new nonstop service between its Denver hub (DEN) and Des Moines International Airport (DSM). The six weekly roundtrip flights kick off with the departure of flight #1704 traveling from Denver to Des Moines at 3:10 p.m. MDT. The first flight to depart Des Moines leaves at 6:15 p.m. CDT this evening.

“We are so pleased to expand our service out of Des Moines to include this nonstop service to Denver,” said Daniel Shurz, vice president of strategy and planning. “With three daily nonstop flights to Milwaukee and the new nonstop service to Denver, Des Moines-area travelers can now look forward to even more convenient and affordable access to the east and west with connections to Frontier’s more than 70 destinations across the United States, Mexico and Costa Rica.”

Frontier’s new Des Moines service will be flown by the 99-seat Embraer 190 aircraft. Customers on board these aircraft enjoy comfortable leather seating in a two-by-two configuration with no middle seats. In addition, the E190 has several rows of STRETCH seating, which provides an additional five inches of comfortable legroom. The Company’s E190 fleet will also be outfitted with in-flight internet by early 2011.
