DCAA, dans and NATS to Support Launch Event in Dubai.
Global Air Traffic Management (GATM) 2018, the conference and exhibition bringing together the global air traffic management industry, has attracted key support from leading air navigation service providers, further cementing the show as an unmissable event. Dubai Air Navigation Services (dans), Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) and NATS have all their support for the event along with Dubai Airports when it takes place 5-6 November at Roda Al Bustan, Dubai.
The Middle East has experienced 9% annual growth in air passenger traffic, with the UAE’s airspace movements expected to double over the next five years. This vast growth in air traffic across the region plus the airlines need to constantly streamline expenses, means air traffic management is an issue that urgently needs addressing in order to cut costs and enable airlines to expand efficiently. The conference will present a comprehensive and interactive discussion on Air Traffic Control in the UAE, the GCC and how the region fits in on a global scale.
DCAA and dans join Dubai Airports as partners of GATM 2018, bringing a wealth of industry experience and knowledge to the launch event. In light of their support, Ibrahim Ahli, Deputy CEO of dans stated: “Guided by the road map set forth for the Aviation sector by HRH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime minister and Ruler of Dubai, to transform Dubai to become the capital of Global Aviation, Dubai Air Navigation Services have been continuously striving to cater to this larger than life vision through activating unprecedented projects such as airspace restructuring, utilising innovative cutting edge technologies in addition to implementing unique that enable us to shape the future of Aviation. We look forward to sharing Dubai’s story of success in managing one of the busiest airspaces, with the officials and dignitaries attending the Global Air Traffic Management conference.”
Gold sponsor NATS has been working with aviation partners in the UAE since 2006, where it has its regional headquarters and is involved in some of the world’s most exciting and challenging aviation projects. Their experience, innovation and expertise make them an ideal partner for GATM 2018, which will bring together the regions key stakeholders to focus on both strategic and technical challenges facing the Middle East air traffic management community.
“The support we have seen already for GATM from the industry has been incredible,” says said Rachel Sturgess, Portfolio Director at Tarsus F&E LLC Middle East. “We knew that there was demand for this event in the market, and the commitment we have seen so far has demonstrated that to be the case. We are thrilled to welcome DCAA and dans as event partners in addition to Dubai Airports, and NATS as gold sponsors for GATM 2018.”
