Increased charter demand at ExecuJet for Rugby World Cup 2011

ExecuJet Australasia has reported an increase in charter demand for the Rugby World Cup 2011 in New Zealand. The event, which takes place from September 9 to October 23 is attracting visitors from all over the world. Organisers are forecasting that on the basis of offshore ticket sales to date, New Zealand can expect 95,000 international visitors to arrive to watch matches.

In addition to their normal Charter Services, ExecuJet Australasia has teamed up with the bespoke travel company Quintessentially to offer a personalised Rugby World Cup experience. “Not everyone can join the frenzy of fans over the 47 matches, across the 45 day event. So, together with ExecuJet, we are offering those Rugby supporters an alternate package for those who still want to be at the heart of the action but are a little ‘time poor,’” explains Belinda Yabsley, CEO Quintessentially Australia and New Zealand. Packages include flying by private jet from any one of Australia’s major cities into your choice of three destinations – Auckland, Queenstown or Wellington on the day of the match, be transferred to and from the Stadium before your return chartered flight home after the game.

“The charter demand to New Zealand has been strong already,” says Roxanne Simpson, Charter Sales Manager ExecuJet Australasia, based in Sydney. “We have seen an increase in normal charter activity and demand of up to 35%. We have only just launched the Quintessentially packages and expect to secure a number of these within the next few weeks." Αdditionally, we have secured a number of charters to the various games on our heavy jet fleet. One client booked a Falcon 900C for the entire month of October to ensure he  and his guests got to every semi final and Final game.

The ExecuJet Aviation Group offers an extensive selection of charter aircraft ranging from narrow-body to wide-body aircraft and with the biggest fleet of wide-body aircraft available for charter in the region, ExecuJet continues to be the market leader in Asia Pacific.

In November 2010, ExecuJet was issued with a New Zealand Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) from the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority, paving the way for the company to commence base aircraft operations in the country.
