Interactive technology improves advertising and passenger service at airport

Clear Channel Airports (CCA) unveils their new innovative advertising kiosk system at Tampa International Airport (TIA). This exciting technology provides travelers the ability to easily identify, locate and connect with Tampa Bay area services, while providing businesses a unique advertising opportunity. Tampa International Airport officials and the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce will join Clear Channel Airports in a ribbon-cutting ceremony unveiling the new kiosks to the Greater Tampa Bay community. The ceremony will be on Monday, October 25th, 2010 at 1pm in the Red Baggage Claim area across from the Yeager elevator at TIA.

"We are excited to have these new digital passenger kiosks. The kiosks will allow travelers to connect and utilize businesses within the local market in a technologically savvy manner," said Melissa Cleary of Clear Channel Airports. "Many of our clients have expressed interest in this new system and we are proud to unveil it at TIA."

CCA is committed to bringing new ideas and technology to the Tampa International Airport which will enhance the traveling experience for airline passengers. This new technology also adds business value by creating opportunities for businesses to make better use of their advertising dollars. The kiosks will allow consumers to have an interactive experience with local businesses to find specific information they are looking for. Bay area businesses are already positioned to take advantage of this service.

"Clear Channel makes it easier to communicate information that will enhance the quality of travelers’ visits to Tampa. And they do it in a way that allows us to differentiate our clients’ brands. A perfect example of this is the new interactive kiosks that replace the old-fashioned courtesy phones," said Evan Brownstein Partner/Chief Creative Officer of Bright Monkey Marketing, representing the Wyndham Tampa Westshore Hotel.

The digital passenger kiosks allow airport travelers to easily search for local businesses and venues through a touch screen system that replaces the older phone booths in the baggage claim area. Bay area travelers will be able to easily find hotels, restaurants, transportation and many other travel related services.
