Aeroitalia will increase flights from Milan Bergamo to Rome Fiumicino to four daily on weekdays and once daily on weekends starting October 27, 2024, doubling service capacity.
Milan Bergamo Airport announce that Aeroitalia will significantly increase its operations to Rome Fiumicino Airport starting from the 2024/25 winter season, commencing on October 27, 2024. The carrier will now operate four daily flights between the two airports each workday from Monday to Friday, and a daily service over the weekends utilising its ATR72 aircraft, for a total of 22-weekly flights.
This expanded service marks a substantial growth in connectivity, representing an increase of over 100% in both the number of flights and overall capacity per month compared to the 2024 summer season. The flights have been strategically scheduled to cater to both business and leisure travellers, with two departures during the busy morning period, one in the afternoon, and one in the evening.
Aeroitalia remains the only airline offering nonstop flights between Milan Bergamo Airport and Rome Fiumicino, solidifying its commitment to enhancing connectivity between these two crucial Italian hubs. Initially launched during the 2022 winter season with a single daily flight, Aeroitalia’s service has seen steady growth, now reaching four daily departures every workday.
Giacomo Cattaneo, Director of Commercial Aviation, SACBO, said: “We are thrilled with Aeroitalia’s decision to increase its frequency on this important route. This expansion not only underscores the strong demand for connectivity between Milan Bergamo and Rome Fiumicino but also reinforces our commitment to offering our passengers more convenience and flexibility in their travel options. Whether traveling for business or leisure, our passengers will greatly benefit from the additional flights and the optimised schedule.”
The additional flights will provide greater convenience and comfort, allowing passengers to choose from a wider range of travel times that best suit their needs. This expansion is expected to further strengthen Milan Bergamo Airport’s position as a key gateway in Italy, offering seamless connectivity to the capital and beyond.
Passengers can book their flights and check the schedule on the Aeroitalia website or through their preferred travel booking platforms.
