The levy on Australian and New Zealand domestic flights will rise by $6 to $26 and on Trans-Tasman flights by $6 to $46.
Qantaslink flights will rise by $2 to $22 and on Qantas and Australian Airlines International flights the levy will increase by $15 to $75.
The increase will take effect for tickets issued on or after September 2.
There are no immediate plans to increase the surcharge on Jetstar domestic services, which remains at $19.
Qantas CEO Geoff Dixon said the increases were made reluctantly but were necessary because, at current prices, the Qantas fuel bill will rise by more than $1.25 billion this year.
Hedging and surcharges will continue to partially offset this significant cost. However we still face a $650 million shortfall at current prices, he said.
