S7 Airlines expands flight network from Pulkovo St. Petersburg Airport

For the five months of 2018, S7 Airlines provided services to 473,300 passengers in St. Petersburg, which is 9.8% more than the same period of 2017.

This summer season, S7 Airlines has opened ten new routes from Pulkovo St. Petersburg Airport. The new destinations include Alicante (Spain), Copenhagen (Denmark), Stockholm (Sweden), Pisa (Italy), and Pula (Croatia), as well as the Russian cities of Belgorod, Murmansk, Omsk, Perm, and Saransk (Mordovia region in Russia). Two of the cities (Saransk and Pula) previously had no direct air connection to St. Petersburg and are new for the summer schedule at Pulkovo.

S7 Airlines is one of the top three carriers in terms of volume of passenger traffic to various destinations from Pulkovo airport. For the five months of 2018, S7 Airlines provided services to 473,300 passengers in St. Petersburg, which is 9.8% more than the same period of 2017.

Over the past year, S7 Airlines increased the number of direct routes operated from St. Petersburg from two (Moscow and Novosibirsk) to 18 Russian and international destinations. Today, the airline performs scheduled service to several subsidized domestic destinations within Russia, as well as all-year-round flights to European capitals, and seasonal connections to popular seaside and alpine skiing resorts.

This summer season, S7 Airlines offers direct service from St. Petersburg airport to the following destinations: Alicante, Belgorod, Berlin (Tegel Airport), Bryansk, Copenhagen , Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Moscow, Murmansk, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Perm, Pisa, Pula, Saransk, Stockholm, Verona and Yaroslavl.

S7 Airlines is a member of oneworld airline alliance. The carrier is one of the world’s TOP-100 best airlines and ranks third in Eastern Europe according to Skytrax. In 2017, S7 Airlines won the LED Together Prize awarded by Pulkovo Airport for the most dynamic development of the route network from St. Petersburg.

Pulkovo Airport ranks fourth in Russia in terms of passenger traffic. For the five months of 2018, St. Petersburg air harbor served 6 million passengers, which is 11% more than the same period of 2017. The Northern Capital Gateway International Consortium has been the main operator of Pulkovo Airport since 2010. The company manages the airport under a public-private partnership agreement, and implements its reconstruction and development project.
