Safi Airways, the International Airline of Afghanistan, announced the launch of new international and national routes. Rahim Safi, Chairman of Safi Airways said: “It was our intention from day one of our operation that this will be a diamond in the Afghanistan Aviation Industry: An airline for Afghan people to help them move in and out of our country. Our new schedule, effective April 7th, 2009 sets a landmark for us. Safi Airways is committed to build reliable connections, adhering to the highest airline industry standards.“ Tilmann Gabriel, President & CEO of Safi Airways, added: “Not only has Safi Airways achieved a good reputation with Afghan and Arab nationals, but also with foreigners doing business in the country. They all rely on our reliability performance, which in January 2009 achieved a remarkable 98,2 per cent.
The new schedule, effective April 7th , 2009, will see Dubai having nonstop flights to Kandahar and Mazar-E-Sharif once a week. Also, Abu Dhabi will be connected to Kabul twice weekly and Kuwait will be connected to Kabul once a week as well."
Good news for connecting passengers via Dubai: Flights from Dubai to Kabul will increase to twice daily through the peak summer travel season. This will enable passengers to do a daytrip to Kabul and, for connecting passengers, will enable them to connect to and from most international night-time flights in Dubai. The new schedule demonstrates the rapid growth of Safi Airways, up almost 60 % from today’s frequencies. Fares start from 1100 AED return.
Adds Mr. Rahim Safi: “Safi Airways, with a well reputed leadership-team of Aviation Experts, wants to set a standard in Afghanistan for safe, reliable and customer service oriented performance. All our people strive for this common goal: To enhance the Afghani aviation infrastructure with a high performing and profitable Airline.”
