Scoot renames Premium cabin to ScootPlus based on customer feedback

Premium inflight offerings remain unchanged[1].

Scoot is renaming its popular premium inflight offering to ScootPlus. The product, currently named ScootBiz, will be renamed from September 2, 2019 on all Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights to and from Australia, and various destinations on Scoot’s network.

Scoot continues to prioritise the customer experience as an important factor in the travel journey. As such, over the years, having better understood the expectations and needs of customers, a decision was made to rename ScootBiz to ScootPlus.

Following a customer survey conducted on social media in December 2018 which saw 80% of our customers selecting inflight Wi-Fi as the preferred form of inflight entertainment, Scoot  carefully reviewed the options and subsequently took action to replace inflight entertainment ScooTV in ScootPlus with inflight Wi-Fi. ScootPlus now includes a 30MB complimentary onboard Wi-Fi for each customer. The change reflects Scoot’s understanding of the customer base, who values connectivity, even in the sky.

On the product front, customers will be able to enjoy the same comfortable wide, leather reclining seat with a footrest to sink into, with twice the legroom of an economy seat and individual in-seat power outlets. Other perks in ScootPlus which remains unchanged include a 30KG check-in baggage allowance, a generous 15KG carry-on baggage as well as seats in the premium forward cabin on the twin-aisle Boeing 787s. On the ground, ScootPlus continues to provide priority check-in and boarding, features recognised as vital inclusions for travellers.

ScootPlus is a value-for-money alternative for travel to Singapore and beyond, including to Europe, for Australian long-haul travellers.  Choosing ScootPlus allows customers to take advantage of value-added fares, and the option to purchase add-on items such as SATS lounge access in Singapore. KrisFlyer[2] members can also continue to earn and burn their KrisFlyer miles on Scoot flights.

Scoot flies one of the youngest fleets in the air, with the Boeing 787 fleet having an average age of two years 11 months[3]. Together with the Airbus A320 fleet, the average age of Scoot’s fleet is five years, one month[4].
