In 2025, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) welcomes Federal Donuts & Chicken and Oyster House, enhancing dining options with local favorite brands.
PHILADELPHIA – If you’re flying to or from Philadelphia in 2025, be sure to pack an appetite. In partnership with food service management company Jackmont Hospitality and ACDBE partner Brenda Branch, Managing Member at High Places Concessions, two renowned “Founded in Philly” brands are coming to MarketPlace PHL’s PHL Food & Shops concessions program next year at Philadelphia International Airport.
- Federal Donuts & Chicken – Giving Philadelphians a whole new reason to get out of bed since 2011, Federal Donuts & Chicken opens its 12th store and first airport location — featuring best-in-class donuts, fried chicken and coffee with creative combinations and irresistible presentations that are beloved. Federal Donuts & Chicken was founded by James Beard Award-winning restaurateurs Chef Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook and partners Bob Logue, Tom Henneman and Felicia D’Ambrosio.
- Oyster House – With third-generation family operators, Oyster House has been located in Center City for over 40 years. Oyster House is Philly’s destination for everything seafood, and today it announces its first satellite location. Since 2009, Oyster House has been owned by Sam Mink, who is continuing the founding family seafood restaurant legacy, which began in 1947.
A Tasty Time to join PHL Food & Shops
Record-breaking Philly travel is anticipated in 2026, ahead of America’s Semiquincentennial (Philadelphia250), the FIFA World Cup, the MLB All-Star Game, NCAA March Madness, the PGA Championship and more. Hammers are already swinging to build out these two new storefronts.
“There’s no shortage of exceptional foodie brands across the Delaware Valley, and even more ‘Founded in Philly’ announcements are coming soon,” said Mel Hannah, Vice President and General Manager of MarketPlace PHL. “With a huge 2026 on the way, we are excited to announce the addition of these two locations, with more to come.”
The two celebrated Philly eateries are coming to Philadelphia International Airport in collaboration with award-winning operator Jackmont Hospitality and ACDBE partner Brenda Branch. Jackmont Hospitality, owned by President Daniel Halpern, brings extensive expertise in operating high-traffic, high-profile marquee restaurants in airports and metro areas throughout the U.S. This partnership will bring authentic Philadelphia flavor to the airport, underscoring the management company’s commitment to exceptional, locally inspired dining.
“Our team is thrilled to launch these famous Philly brands with PHL Food & Shops,” said Halpern. “Having operated restaurants for several decades in Center City and on City Avenue, we understand the potential and prestige of PHL as well as what it takes to have long-term success in Philadelphia.”
Federal Donuts & Chicken and Oyster House are expected to open at the airport in spring 2025.
