United announces new routes from Cleveland Hub

Separately, United will also discontinue service between Cleveland and Green Bay, Wis., effective Dec. 18, 2012. United will continue to offer connecting service between Cleveland and Green Bay through Chicago.

CHICAGO – United Airlines announced plans to launch daily nonstop service from its Cleveland hub at Hopkins International Airport to Nashville and Oklahoma City, Okla. The United Express flights will be operated by ExpressJet using 50-seat regional jet aircraft, with the Nashville service beginning on Dec.19, 2012, and the Oklahoma City service beginning on Feb.14, 2013.

United is pleased to link our Cleveland hub with Nashville and Oklahoma City as we continue to offer customers flights to the places they want to go,” said Jim Ferea, United’s managing director domestic planning. “Nashville has the largest number of travelers among cities that United doesn’t currently serve from Cleveland, and the Oklahoma City flights will support Northeast Ohio’s growing energy sector.”

We’re very pleased with United’s continuing efforts to maintain and grow their Cleveland hub service,” said Airport Director Ricky Smith.
