When the sea meets the sun…

Some of Bali’s most memorable landscapes can be found in Ubud. Ubud is full of tropical forests, coffee plantations and terraced rice paddies.

A huge flight from Greece and the beautiful Bali was lying on our feet as the first stop on our adventure all around Asia. 5 days of sunshine, swimming into crystal clear waters, frozen cocktails and of course unforgettable sunsets was our main goal. There was just something spectacular about the way the light dispersed over the Indian Ocean, which surely was going to be something I was not going to forget. Due to the fact we visited Bali during the Christmas period, we were full of wonder and excitement about how the year would go out. 4 of our best friends decided to follow us to this majestic tour, so I think I could not have planned a better start.

Booking and a villa in one of the 5 star resorts Bali has was the best option. Our comfortable villa was consisted of 4 bedrooms, a kitchen and a lovely pool surrounded by an adorable garden. It was like an oasis in the middle of Bali. The location of the house was in the heart of Bali, which was taking us a few minutes walking from the villa to the crowded beaches and for gazing the sunset after a long day swimming and having fun. Bali is well known for its party mood, and this was one of the reasons we chose it for the Christmas holidays. We wanted a casual event right on the beach which would give us an amazing view at sunset so we chose one of the most famous beach clubs. It was not so affordable for every traveller but we finally chose it because of its location, right next to the crystal clear waters. If you are looking for a chilled venue in Bali, there are a lot of options depending on the style of the menu, the music and the money you want to spend. One thing is for sure. There is a place for everyone needs and tastes. The beach bar we chose was one of the most colorful places I have ever seen in my entire life. There were a lot of red and yellow umbrellas and beanbags to relax while watching the sun go down.

Some of Bali's most memorable landscapes can be found in Ubud. Ubud is full of tropical forests, coffee plantations and terraced rice paddies. Ubud was the following day trip away from crowded Bali. We really enjoyed beauty of the nature and we also took part in adventure activities such as rafting which was a life experience. In search of more fantastic ocean views, we decided to visit Uluwatu too and we made a stop at a worldwide famous relaxed cafe where you can gaze the surfers fighting with the waves. Uluwatu is also home to a lot of unforgettable forests that lead to huge cliffs, the most well-known of whom is the monkey forest. Huge rocks surround you, while you are astonished by the blue color of the ocean. It is one of the most beautiful paths for enjoying a great walk into the nature. You also have to be sure to keep your personal belongings in your bag and do not carry any food supplies on you as these lovely monkeys are one of the smartest thieves you will ever meet.

After our holidays in Bali and all the other areas, we left the place in order to get to our next destination. One thing is for sure. We all found that Bali is really a place of heaven on earth, a place that every person who wants to be a real traveller and loves to explore new places, needs to visit it. We actually made a promise of visiting Bali next year. We all left our heart and soul there. Till the next time…
