Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library
Located on the University Michigan campus in Ann Arbor, this popular tourist attraction gives history fanatics practically everything they want to know regarding the life and presidency of Gerald R. Ford.
Ford, who served as the 38th president of the United States, grew up in the state of Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan and even played on the Wolverines’ football team as a center, leading them to national championships in 1932 and 1933.
The library opened in 1981, having celebrated its 40-year anniversary in September.
Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation
Detroit is known for its rich history and auto industry economy, hence the “Motor City” nickname.
Car enthusiasts and history lovers should make it a priority to visit the “Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation”, often referred to as “The Henry Ford.”
The museum is located in Dearborn (approximately nine miles from Detroit), the home city of Ford Motor Company founder Henry Ford.
The museum has many historically significant items, including John F. Kennedy’s presidential limousine and the rocking chair Abraham Lincoln sat in at The Ford’s Theatre (Washington, DC). when he was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth.

They don’t call it “The Great Lake State” for nothing. Michigan is bordered by four of the five Great Lakes — Lake Michigan, Lake Superior, Lake Huron and Lake Erie.
Those four lakes are greatly popular for tourists to visit, and nature lovers coming to Michigan should prioritize visiting them.
Located on Lake Huron, Mackinac Island is a beautiful resort that is surrounded by inviting waters and full of hiking/walking trails and so much more. There are plenty of camping options available for visitors who hope to stay here, which conveniently allows you to maximize your time and visit here.
The Isle Royale National Park in Lake Superior, the Lake of the Clouds (in Ontonagon County) and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (in Leelanau and Benzie Counties) are among the other gorgeous nature sports that outdoor travelers should see while in Michigan.
Whether you like lakes, trees, parks or hike trails, the state of Michigan certainly isn’t lacking in beautiful nature spots.
