Covid-19 of course is an obstacle for people who want to travel, but do you really want to lose the incoming summer vacation? Campervans are a great solution for this, since traveling by a private mean of transport is a lot easier to control the hygiene and exposure to public places. From this perspective, it is really feasible to rent out a campervan.

For this reason, more and more people are encouraged to take the road and a blanket to live the caravanning experience. It’s a different and original way, as well as fun and flexible, to experience family trips this way.

Perhaps you’re interested in renting a campervan, but you’re not sure on how to spend money or manage your available resources? Well, don’t worry anymore. We will give you a few tips on how to manage properly when traveling on a campervan.

Tips for taking into consideration before you start traveling

Down below we got little tricks for you to save as much as possible on your trips, this way you can make multiple trips a year while making the most of your campervan and money.

  • Vehicle review: First of all, you must review and even check with a specialist the mechanical conditions of the vehicle to be used, this is the first condition for a pleasant trip. I bet you don’t want any surprises or unforeseen events during the trip.
  • Efficient driving: Plan your routes in advance and make sure to use tools available such as applications, guides and travel maps, choose the routes with the best condition, the free routes or the cheapest ones. Also consider this tip; try to maintain a constant speed, without sudden braking or acceleration, in order to economize the fuel as much as possible, I really suggest you taking this into consideration.
  • Search for useful information: I highly recommend you to search for enough information, because in many cases, there are places where they offer free admission or at least with a reduced price. It depends on the hours or days of the week, as well as the current season. If you do well, you’ll be saving lots of your money.
  • Choosing a place to spend the night: make sure to stay in free places, authorized areas for campervans or at service stations. If you decide to spend the night in an open place like a landscape or a forest, then make sure the area is safe for it.
  • Food: If your trip is short or just a getaway, then carry prepared food from home and store it in the vehicle's fridge, or if you’re doing a long trip, then you must carry nonperishable food and if necessary refuel. On both cases, you will save a good amount of money.

Let’s be real, who doesn’t want to spend less money? Well, with these tips I assure you that you’ll be spending less money on your campervan trip, money that you can spend on other things later, such as going to that restaurant that someone have recommended or buying that souvenir and taking it to someone special for you.
