Four interesting things to know about life in Dallas

Take a look at these interesting facts that I’m about to discuss.

Is it just me or have you decided to drastically change your life and move to another city? And you decided that it’s going to be somewhere where the economy is thriving and harsh winters are practically non-existent.

Well, if that’s what I’m sensing, then I think that it’s time to take Dallas into consideration. If you’re interested in this prosperous city as well, then trust me, you are definitely not the only one.

People from different parts of the world are moving to this place due to numerous reasons. If you want to know what’s so special about it, then take a look at these interesting facts that I’m about to discuss.

It’s very cost-effective
There are so many places in the world that are overly expensive without any particular reason. Fortunately, that’s not the case with Dallas. In fact, this growing region is actually a lot more affordable in comparison to other cities, not only in the United States but in the world in general. So this just goes to show that you do not need to be rich to live here comfortably. The city’s median salary is slightly above $42,000. At least that’s what NerdWallet concluded. Meanwhile, things like groceries, housing, healthcare, and other essentials cost less than the national average.

I’m about to say one fact that’s going to blow your mind in a flash. The median house value in this city is around $230,000 dollars, while in other cities, such as Miami ($380,000), and San Francisco ($1,400,000) the situation is drastically different. No wonder why so many people are yearning to move to Dallas.

It offers spectacular educational opportunities
If you plan on moving to a different city, yet you have children, or on the flip side, you are a future student, then you should certainly consider moving to Dallas. I’ve heard so many times that this city has an outstanding education and it’s all by virtue of the abundance of fantastic educational institutions in the city, and around it. If you have kids, then you’ll love the fact that you’ll have a lot of options at your disposal when it comes to education. You can opt for private schools, public schools, and even charter institutions.

Moreover, there are some independent school districts that are perceived as the best ones in this state. For those of you who are interested in private education, then you can opt for Southern Methodist University or the University of Texas.

I mean, the whole point of this segment is to show you that there are a plethora of excellent options in terms of education and it’s only up to you to decide which alternative is most suitable for you and your kiddo.

Fantastic job opportunities
It doesn’t matter how old you are or whether you’ve just finished college or not, out there, you’ll be able to find a good and stable job in a blink of an eye. I mean, not literally, but you’ll find it much faster in comparison to other cities.

What I am trying to say is that this city is ideal for practically any person who is willing to roll up their sleeves and work. In case you didn’t know, some of the richest people in the USA live in this city and run their businesses there.

And that’s all because (as I stated in the beginning) the economy in this place is booming. Therefore, anyone who is even remotely skilled and talented in something is going to be able to pursue practically any career.

To prove to you once again how spectacular the situation is in Dallas, I’ll tell you that the unemployment rate is very low and employment is expected to grow in some of the most major industries. In addition, more than twenty (of some of the biggest companies in the United States) are situated precisely in this city. When I say this, I refer to Exxon Mobile, American Airlines, AT&T, and many others.

Consequently, if you’re currently unemployed and you’re searching for a place where you’ll be able to find something that’s stable, then I suggest moving to Dallas as soon as possible.

Wonderful restaurants
I’ve talked to a lot of locals in the past and if there’s one thing they absolutely love about this place it’s its food. I would like to emphasize the fact that this city has more restaurants per capita than any other popular US metropolitan area.

Not only will you be able to enjoy traditional Southern food, but international foods as well and that’s amazing!

There are so many fantastic things I could say about Dallas, but I was focusing on the aspects I think would interest people the most. Therefore, if you were having second thoughts about this city before, I am 100% sure you’ll change your mind right now.
