Four most popular beach resorts in the United Arab Emirates

Planning a beach holiday in the most popular resorts of the UAE? We will tell you why these resorts are worth your attention, as well as their pros and cons, and the price range of each option.

Beach resorts and luxurious hotels of the Emirates attract millions of tourists every year from all over the world. The white sand of the beaches, the luxury that reigns here everywhere — all this cannot be described in words. This is an oriental modern fairy tale without pandemic-related restrictions that calls travelers to show you the best that a vacation can give you.

Most of the beaches in the Emirates are sandy, only the color of the sand distinguishes them, which ranges from pearl white to unusually red. It is believed that each emirate has its own unique color of sand.

The variety of beaches in the UAE will appeal to both active recreation enthusiasts and those who prefer solitude. There are well-maintained beaches, with sunbeds and umbrellas for sunbathing, sparsely populated beaches, and pristine places that you can get to by renting a yacht, and a lot of Saadiyat Island Things to do.

If your primary aim is to visit beaches rather than go sightseeing, then plan your trip in October, March, or April when the weather is hot but pleasant. The months from June to September are characterized by hot and humid weather conditions.

Dubai
In Dubai, the beaches are located directly in the metropolis. This is a great way to combine city entertainment with a vacation on the shores of the Persian Gulf. Skyscrapers literally enter the water with stone feet. Snow-white sands approach the city blocks. You can see the whole city, with endless azure waves going to the horizon, from the observation deck of the tallest building in the world.

The most popular beach resorts are Jumeirah Beach Park and Al Mamzar Park. You will have to pay 5 AED for entry, and the cost of a sunbed is 10 AED. The complexes have a developed infrastructure:

  • beach
  • bars
  • restaurants
  • park area
  • swimming pool

And here is a list of hotels with their own beach and developed children’s infrastructure:

Taj Dubai (Burj Khalifa Street, Business Bay, PO Box 8489, Dubai, UAE). Luxury Dubai hotel with a 5-star service level. Services include a beauty salon, a wellness center, and a rooftop restaurant. A night here will cost you about $300.

Savoy Park (Community 317, Al Mankhool, Dubai, UAE). This hotel is simpler — only 3 stars. Dubai Airport is 10 kilometers away. The hotel includes 126 apartments equipped with mini-kitchens. The cost of living is ~$100 per night.

However, if you don’t want to be attached to a particular place, you can always rent apartments in Dubai. This is a more versatile option since you can choose any area to live in.

Sharjah and Ajman
In Sharjah, hundreds of kilometers of beach are stretched along the Oman and Persian Gulfs, partially capturing the Indian Ocean. Here, you can cheaply relax and have fun, boosting your cultural level at the same time. After all, Sharjah is the intellectual capital of the Emirates thats why this area is a popular not only among vacationers, but also those who are considering buying property in Sharjah.

There is a well-developed public transport network and quite budget hotels even on the first line. One of the best hotels nearby is Lou’Lou’a Beach Resort. This is a three-star hotel with a closed sandy beach adjoining the hotel buildings. The average cost per night is $100-150.

Sharjah is one of the emirates with the strictest rules, prohibited alcohol, and dress code. There are many monuments, museums, mosques, zoos, and cultural centers.

Ajman is a provincial town in the emirate of the same name. Oil is not produced in Ajman, but the beaches here are amazing in their cleanliness. This area is quiet and cozy, there are entertainment activities, but you can find some worthy places to visit.

The beaches of Ajman are well-maintained, with fine white sand and a gentle entry into the water.

Rest in this emirate is quite budgetary, and the sale of alcohol is allowed. As for sightseeing, there is an old shipyard and a museum in the fort building.

Ras Al Khaimah
This is a mid-range resort that attracts tourists with its sights and a huge water park. It provides entertainment for all family members, so it is worth considering a family trip.

Ras Al Khaimah allows you to combine a relaxing holiday on white, sparkling beaches with interesting, exciting excursions to sights and natural reserves.

Four and five-star hotels are located literally on the beach. The most popular ones are Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Beach Resort, Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, and Ras Al Khaimah Hotel. Their average pricing is floating between $100-$300.

Apart from the beach, one can visit archaeological excavations, a unique mosque, the National Museum, Al Jazeera Al Hamra, also called a ghost town, ancient tombs, and, of course, bazaars. You can have a great time at the Iceland waterpark and the zoo.

In Ras Al Khaimah, life goes on at night: there are a lot of restaurants that attract tourists with live music and exotic dancers.

Abu Dhabi
Hot Abu Dhabi is famous for its cleanest beaches, clear azure water, luxuriously equipped embankments, and well-developed infrastructure.

There are many shopping centers and entertainment. Many love the opportunity to relax on the adjacent islands, which have golf clubs, dive stations, and gorgeous beaches. The islands were created artificially, and the entire infrastructure was thought out in advance.

Family travelers who are accustomed to peace and quiet come here. The beach market is divided into free and paid sections, there are areas with trees and grass. The resort is well equipped — a sports area, umbrellas, sunbeds, changing cabins, sun loungers, a rescue service, toilets and showers, cafes, and beach accessories stores.
