One of the beauties of the human body is its ability to adapt to almost any situation it finds itself, especially at extreme temperatures. During cold temperatures, the blood vessel narrows to reduce blood flow making the body shrink. For hot temperatures, the body increases blood flow to the skin surface thus moving the heat to the body surface which results in sweating.

There are situations when the body cannot cool itself, in such instance the body's temperature increases quickly as a result of overloading of the body's temperature regulator  This leads to varying complications such as damage to the brain and other sensitive organs and illnesses such as heat stroke and dizziness. In states such as Arizona and New Mexico that are known for their arid climate, it becomes imperative for inhabitants to take precautionary measures to avoid dehydration and fainting.

Water is one of the most vital elements that the human body needs, it helps to keep body balance, aid digestion, help to emit toxins and invigorates the human system. Water accounts for 60% of the human body and crucial for the proper functioning of all cells. In arid climates, it is easy to be dehydrated, thus, lowering the blood volume and putting more work on the heart to increase the blood volume which in turn increases the amount of oxygen that the cell needs. Taking enough water would eradicate all of these complications. It also helps keep the skin fresh and makes the skin elastic in arid climates.
