When is the most affordable time of the year to visit Las Vegas

Whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, except for the sensational games available to players.

Whenever we think of Las Vegas, our minds go into a frenzied state. It’s the ultimate adult playground, and it’s bustling with activity. A happy hunting ground for thrill seekers, Las Vegas is the proverbial jewel in the desert.

What began as a mob haven for money laundering, organized crime, and infamous gangsters is now a family-friendly escapade of epic proportions. The iconic Las Vegas Strip mesmerizes millions of visitors annually, with spectacular attractions to boot. It’s America’s adult playground and the world’s #1 spot for casino entertainment.

Whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, except for the sensational games available to players. Players have plenty of options in this regard. Sure, pay-to-play online casino games are available to players on PCs, Macs, and smartphones. But a much better deal is available to players – and it costs nothing. It comes in the form of social casino games. The world’s premier gaming hubs realize players have a voracious appetite for Vegas fanfare in slots, card games, table games, and live casino games.

Social casinos offer amazing titles like Fever Las Vegas – a reptilian rendition of a classic Vegas slot game with zero money down. This scintillating Vegas-style slot features random symbols, multipliers, wilds, scatters, and more. That’s Vegas-style pizzazz!

What if you want to visit Vegas in person
Of course, there will always be hordes of people frequenting Sin City for the in-person experience. Granted, it’s surreal, with mind-boggling attractions at every turn. From Mandalay Bay in the south to the STRAT in the north, it’s always go-time in Vegas.

The MGM Grand, the Luxor, the Cosmopolitan, New York, New York, Paris Las Vegas, Caesars, The Wynn, Harrah’s, and the Bellagio represent a handful of the magnificent attractions awaiting players. Within each exquisite hotel is a veritable city of stores, restaurants, comedy shows, extravaganzas, magicians, theatrical performances, and beyond.

But Vegas is an on-demand city, and it’s priced accordingly. That means you’ll pay top dollar when big shows come to town, or celebrities headline in-house. Room rates skyrocket, airline prices go through the roof, and everything is more expensive. But if you time it right, you can enjoy unbelievably affordable prices on your next Las Vegas visit. Let’s check out a seasoned traveler’s tips guide to vacation in Vegas on a shoestring budget:

  • Don’t travel when everybody else is going to Las Vegas. Travel out of season. You’ll save yourself a ton of cash. That means going when the crowds are light, and the weather isn’t great. Travel enthusiasts recommend that you fly to Vegas between March and May and from September through November. Those are the best times to enjoy America’s adult playground. Experts advise avoiding the car shows, the mega boxing matches, MMA fights, and the carnivals – ticket prices are through the roof.
  • Many travelers want to stay on the Las Vegas Strip when visiting, but it’s expensive, so you may want to select a venue off the strip. Don’t fret; getting to the strip with Uber, Lyft, taxis, or the Vegas bus system is easy. When you stay off The Strip, you often get hotel rooms with much more space and more bang for your buck. And that’s what it’s all about, Las Vegas, isn’t it – getting the most bang for your buck. Pick hotels with free parking because parking isn’t cheap.
  • Vegas is a money town – we all know that, but many attractions are available to you for free. You can walk across the Las Vegas bridges overlooking the entire Strip. The fountains at the Bellagio, Caesars Casino, and the iconic malls are free. Red Rock Canyon Recreational Area is just $15 per car, and Seven Magic Mountains outside of Las Vegas is a free art installation.
  • Most people are unaware that hotel points can help you enjoy Las Vegas at cut-rate prices. For example, Marriott Bonvoy points can be used in Las Vegas, such as the MGM Grand, the Excalibur, Mandalay Bay, Aria, and the Bellagio. It’s a new partnership agreement that took effect in 2023/4, and it’s racking up tremendous interest from Vegas fans. There is a catch, however: Marriott Bonvoy points don’t cover the hefty resort fees in Las Vegas, which are $41 per day, and they don’t cover parking either.
  • Vegas runs on a demand-based system. The more in demand everything is, the higher the prices. Fortunately, when things are slow, demand dries up, and prices tumble. Always look for discounts on shows on websites or in person. There are ticket booths throughout the city, and the closer you get to Showtime the lower the prices can be. Things like same day discounts are a great way to get cut rate prices.

If you must attend Las Vegas in person, do so out of season. If you are simply after the games, and there are many of them – try social casinos for the most cost-effective way to get the consummate Vegas experience for free. There is zero risk and maximum reward. You get to enjoy windfall jackpots with GCs raining down on your screen, PC, Mac, and mobile.
