Antonietta Varlese (Accor): “We expect to be operationally ‘Net Zero’ by 2050”

Inclusive tourism is Accor’s strategy towards diversity, equity and inclusion.

During the Global Sustainable Tourism Conference (GSTC) 2023, Antonietta Varlese, Communications & Institutional Relations of Accor talked with TravelDailyNews International about the new practices that lead the group to a more sustainable future.

Furthermore, Antonietta Varlese explained how Accor is dealing with inclusivity in the tourism industry and what inclusive tourism means practically.

Antonietta Varlese participated in “Inclusivity in Tourism” panel discussion on the 2nd day of the event, along with Linda Mannerby – Senior Sustainability Manager, Visit Sweden, Rika Jean-François – CSR Commissioner, ITB Berlin; GSTC Board, Dr. Cherise Addinsall – Co-Founder and Strategic Mentor for Regenerative Vanua and Natalie Kidd – Managing Director Asia, Intrepid Travel / GSTC Board Member as Moderator.

GSTC2023 Global Sustainable Tourism Conference was held in Antalya, Türkiye, from the 9th to 12th of May.
