We welcome you to the Wine Museum Costa Lazaridi in Kapandriti. Located in North Attica, which is half an hour from the centre of Athens, this museum honours the vine and all its deriving products. The Wine Museum displays the symbiotic relationship between people and wine that exists today as it has from ancient times. The array of exhibits, dating as far back as the 17th Century AD, combined with specially designed audiovisual support materials, offer visitors the opportunity to interactively discover the history of vine cultivation as well as wine distillation and balsamic vinegar production. Our Wine Museum covers a total area of 1,500 m2, with a two-level exhibition space.

Both the Oenotria Land Estate and the Wine Museum were designed by architect and painter Yannis Nanos. The Museum celebrated its grand opening in 2011 and was inaugurated by the famous Michel Rolland, also known as the “flying wine-maker”.
Oenotria Land was conceived out of Costas Lazaridis passion for the vine and the love for the mystical gathering between man and wine, friendship and companionship, collaboration and good customer relationship. Inspired by Oenotros and his journey to Sicily, Costas Lazaridis “moved” to Attica to plant a new vineyard with varieties that honor the terroir such as Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Agiorgitiko. He also brought his rich tool, machinery and accessory collection to create the 1500 m2 Costa Lazaridi Wine Museum and thus share his passion with as many more people as possible in a very central location within Greece.
The Wine Museum tour is interactive with all exhibits supported by audiovisual material and specially designed pictures and signs to facilitate information and knowledge flow.

There is also a range of options for those that want to immerse in wine tasting combined with food pairing and Greek gastronomy enjoying the various awarded Domaine’s wines (available upon reservation).

Oenotria Land is open to anyone who wants to get to know more about the world of wine, distillates and balsamic vinegars. Pre-booking a visit including the Wine Museum tour and wine tasting is required so as to offer visitors the best, all-encompassing experience with our expert guides.
Tastings of distillates or balsamic vinegars are also offered.
On the outside of the Museum, visitors can see and touch various vines and have the chance to see one of the very few live cork trees in Greece.
The tour lasts between 45’-60’ in an area that extends to 1.500 m2 with a two-level exhibition space.
