'Throughlines', a powerful technology breakthrough, which enables an audience to view a video presentation and vote for various options, using individual hand controls, is the focus of this year's EIBTM<.> Worldwide Watch presentation.

The presentation, which will take place on stage during EIBTM at Palexpo, Geneva, on Wednesday 22 May at 12.30 pm, is by Nils Huehnergarth, President of New York based Static & Motion productions, Inc.

The company was selected and invited to make the presentation by an

independent panel of judges, chaired by Tom Hulton, CEO of ICCA. Other judges were: Steve Nunan, Area Director of Sales, Marriott International, Tom Godbehere, e-business Director, Reed Travel Exhibitions, Christopher de Landtseer, Chief Executive Officer, TourWeb and Paul Hussey, Managing Director, Olive Partnership.

The purpose of WW is to help the industry to save time in research by

identifying innovative technology that could have a major influence on the international industry.

Mr. Huehnergarth said how honoured he was to have been chosen from the applications made by technology companies throughout the world. "EIBTM is an ideal forum to introduce our new technology because the industry leaders who attend will truly appreciate this powerful next generation technology.

"Static & Motion's 'Throughlines' offers anyone responsible for creating

effective marketing communications the ability to go beyond the usual

passive video presentations and explore a new way of engaging audiences at meetings, trade events, training seminars or any other group event.

"For the first time, marketers and producers will have a platform to create interactive, educational programmes that encourage audience participation and increase interest in the business message.

"I look forward to the reaction to 'Throughlines' because I conceived it as

an antidote to predictable business presentations. I think it will be a big

hit."

Debbie Jackson, EIBTM's Exhibition Director said that this year's WorldWide Watch presentation was once again living up to its title, representing the very latest in the fast moving frontiers of industry technology. "We are very grateful to the judges for the time, analysis and careful consideration of all the WW applications.

"Throughlines certainly looks to open up additional creative possibilities

for more thought provoking meetings worldwide".

Static & Motion Productions say that 'Throughlines' challenges an entire

audience to think like a team and tracks the way they think both

individually and as a group.

The development of the technology was underpinned by independent research, carried out over three months. One-to-one focus interviews took place with marketing communications managers with responsibility for creating internal sales meetings, trade exhibitions and training seminars. The research demonstrated overwhelming support for such a facility.

The initial development stage for 'Throughlines' is now complete and

includes a fully operational system that has already successfully been used by a number of corporate events. However, the technology has only recently started to be marketed.

The next stage of development could include a library of generic

'Throughlines' titles, increased data collection from audience members such as area or zip codes and demographic information and feedback to each member of the audience, based on his or her choices. For example, this could be the lessons learned for a post meeting review.
