Best stand for Doing Business went to Netherlands (EM905). Bill Richards from Exhibitions Venues, the chair of judges, said, 'The new layout of the stand, split into three-welcome area, enquiry desk and business area stood out from all the other European stands'.

The combined stand of Le Meridien and Nikko Hotels (GV418/419) won the Best Stand Design. The judges were most impressed with the excellent use of space – a simple, but classic use of black and white photography printed on netting, used to subtly disguise meeting areas'.

US National Park Service (NA614) took the Most Effective Stand Personnel Award. With all stand dressed in Ranger outfits the judges highlighted how approachable the staff were, showing a highly proactive and enthusiastic approach to meeting and welcoming visitors. They clearly represented exactly what they were promoting;.

Gambia (AF244) won the Best Stand Features award for their excellent use of space which disguised the storage and meeting area as a hut. The 'leafy' feel of the stand gave a strong impression of the country.

The judging panel were Bill Richards, Exhibitions Venues; Yvonne Alexander, Association of Exhibition Organisers; Mick Delo, Studio Delo; Margot Sallows, Center of Responsible Tourism; Thomas Bouchier and Mandy Fowler, World Travel Market.
