The leading organizations in the incentive industry will take an active role in The Motivation Show<.> 2002, which will meet from September 24-26, 2002, in Chicago’s McCormick Place South.



Endorsing associations include Meeting Professional International (MPI); Society of Incentive and Travel Executives (SITE); Incentive Marketing Association (IMA); and Promotion Marketing Association (PMA). Also endorsing The Motivation Show is The Incentive Federation.



Other associations participating in show activities include the Association of Retail Marketing Services (ARMS) and the Incentive Manufacturers & Representatives Association (IMRA). Also taking an active role in this year’s show are: the Business Marketing Association of Chicago (BMAC); ESM; the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI); the National Association of Employee Recognition (NAER); Sales & Marketing Executives of Chicago (SMEC); Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI).



Nine of the associations have joined together to offer programs as part of the Business Solutions That Move People seminar program. In addition, the groups are planning special meetings in conjunction with the show. These include: IMA will present an overview of the SITE Foundation Research at the September 23 Annual Membership Meeting, held in conjunction with The Motivation Show.



The Forum for People Performance Management and Measurement from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 24, will present its Performance Through People Award to a top U.S. company. Don Schultz, professor emeritus at Northwestern University, will speak on the state of people performance management today along with the president of the company selected as the Performance Through People Award honoree. Sponsors include ISPI and NAER.



Bill Utter of the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau will present an update on the city’s efforts to attract the business traveler during the Business Marketing Association of Chicago’s noon luncheon on Tuesday at The Motivation Show.



The Leadership Forum luncheon at noon, Wednesday, September 25, will feature Jack Canfield, founder and co-creator of the popular Chicken Soup for the Soul book series. The Forum is sponsoring by IMA and SMEC.



A one-day Education Day program will be produced by the Greater Midwest Chapter of PCMA on September 25.
