The famous UK pub brand Marston’s improves operational efficiency and the digital guest journey with Mews.

LONDON – Mews, the industry-leading hospitality cloud, has been chosen by Marston’s Pubs PLC (Marston’s) to streamline and modernize their hotel management operations. Marston’s, primarily known for its 1,500+ pubs across the UK, also operates 92 hotels and inns with 1,790 rooms.

Futureproofing and automation were key priorities for Marston’s and the need to manage the guest welcome and other parts of their journey in the pub. With Mews, they can perform check-in and check-out from a tablet or phone, making the daily tasks significantly smoother, more efficient for the guest and the business.

Rikki Hampton, Head of Hotels for Marston’s commented: “We chose Mews for several reasons, including a great digital guest journey and the ability to automate time-consuming tasks; but it was also clear that Mews has a forward-thinking approach, which gave us confidence that they’d continue to meet our needs as we grow in the future.”

Rikki continued: “Having a PMS that’s easy to train is important. The hospitality sector has a high staff turnover. Mews is one of the most intuitive systems out there, which means we can get team members up to speed faster and with a more user-friendly experience.”

All 92 Marston’s properties are now live on Mews, and there has already been a tangible business impact. Mews has also given the team better centralized control over user access, which improves security and protects revenue through easy management of rates.

“We’re delighted to partner with an iconic brand like Marston’s and help them deliver remarkable hospitality to people up and down the UK,” said Richard Valtr, Mews Founder. “In the short time we’ve known them, their commitment to smarter ways of working shines through, and everyone at Mews is excited to see how we’ll work together to deliver even more growth and success in the coming years.”
