UK’s provider of student accommodation Unite Students, with over 68,000 beds selects Lavanda as its property management system (PMS).

LONDON – Unite Students, UK’s provider of student accommodation, has adopted property management platform Lavanda to boost operational efficiency and enhance the student experience across its 68,000-bed portfolio.

Unite Students will use Lavanda’s cutting-edge property management system (PMS) to optimise a range of financial, administrative and logistical workstreams throughout 151 properties located in 23 leading university towns and cities.

The platform’s API-first approach will allow the UK provider to deliver a customisable and efficient front-end experience via the provider’s own app, enabling students to easily access information, communicate with management and participate in community activities. The provider will also benefit from Lavanda’s powerful range of integrations with market-leading software and data platforms, further enhancing the experience for both students and management.

These capabilities – including secure payments, ID verifications, and move-in checklists – significantly streamline both the beginning and end of tenancy processes, such as deposit management, cleaning, and maintenance. Unite Students will also benefit from Lavanda’s powerful analytics and reporting tools, providing real-time business intelligence, including deep insight into financial and occupancy data alongside other key metrics.

Tom Ellis, Group Strategy & Technology Director for Unite Students, said: “Bringing in Lavanda is going to transform how we serve our residents. Not only will it make living with us easier and more enjoyable for our residents, but it will also significantly simplify our day-to-day operations. Lavanda’s leading technology will help us deliver a best-in-class student experience and reflects our dedication to raising the bar for student accommodation.”

Fred Lerche-Lerchenborg, CEO, Lavanda, added: “Partnering with Unite Students is one of Lavanda’s most significant milestones to date. Our market-leading PMS is designed to adapt to the unique demands of student housing, and we are confident it will drive significant value for Unite Students, its staff, and student residents. This collaboration highlights our dedication to innovation and excellence in the student accommodation sector. Our platform’s flexibility, advanced feature set, and seamless integration capabilities will empower Unite Students to operate more efficiently and effectively.”
