$1.5 million renovation leaves Courtyard Fairfax Fair Oaks with fresh new look

Hotel near George Mason University unveils reimagined common areas, guest rooms and event space.

FAIRFAX, VA. – Travelers looking for a hotel in Fairfax will find unparalleled style and innovative features at Courtyard Fairfax Fair Oaks, which has just completed a nearly $1.5 million renovation of its public spaces, room accommodations and meeting rooms.

Along with updating the lobby and enhancing the hotel’s full-service business center, Courtyard has revamped its popular restaurant, The Bistro – Eat. Drink. Connect. The casual eatery, which specializes in healthy breakfast and dinner options and creative cocktails, boasts a chic new look and fresh seasonal offerings including a vanilla pear yogurt and oats, shrimp quesadilla and strawberry and spinach salad. A spicy tropical margarita with Patron Silver Tequila will be offered in the evenings, while a Tazo iced passion tea is now an available Starbucks drink.

The hotel’s 1,250 square feet of flexible event space near the lobby now features revitalized design elements for more memorable and productive meetings and brainstorm sessions.

Guest rooms at the Fair Oaks hotel now offer modern decor and an array of fresh perks, including new mattresses, linens and carpets; colorful lounge-around sofas, 37-inch flat-panel HDTVs and refurbished bathrooms.

“Our hotel was a fantastic place to stay before the renovations, but these changes have set an entirely new standard of excellence,” said General Manager Micah Smith. “We can’t wait to see what our guests think.”

Additional guest room amenities include ergonomic workspaces, mini-refrigerators and free high-speed wireless Internet – perfect for staying on top of work or well-connected to social media. Visitors planning longer stays or group getaways can book one of the hotel’s suites, which offer extra space to spread out and kick back.

Courtyard is conveniently located just 20 minutes outside of Washington, D.C., ideal for travelers who want to stay close to the city without sacrificing peace and quiet. Nearby Fairfax attractions include George Mason University, EagleBank Arena (formerly Patriot Center), the National Firearms Museum and a variety of beautifully landscaped golf courses.

After a fast-paced day of business or pleasure, guests can work out at the hotel’s modern fitness center, featuring a wide selection of free weights and cardio equipment, or enjoy an invigorating dip in the serene indoor swimming pool. Travelers who prefer to break a sweat outdoors will appreciate the hotel’s proximity to hiking, biking, tennis courts and a jogging trail.
