Island Hospitality Management expands portfolio with 14 additional hotels

Island Hospitality Management expands portfolio with 14 additional hotelsOpens third Toasted Barrel during 2022.

WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. — Officials of Island Hospitality Management, the premier third-party management company for select-service and upscale extended-stay hotels in the United States, announced that the company added 14 hotels to its third-party management portfolio, as well as opening its third Toasted Barrel restaurant, during 2022.

“Island Hospitality had another fantastic year in 2022, as we added 14 additional third-party owned hotels to our ever-expanding portfolio,” said Gregg Forde, president and COO, Island Hospitality Management. “These additions strengthen our presence in multiple markets, including California, Texas, Florida, Colorado, Massachusetts and Maryland. We also expanded our relationship with WaterWalk by growing our dedicated management team and helping them grow their unique lodging option that combines the conveniences of a hotel with apartment-style living.”

Island continues to invest heavily in and reap the rewards from its food & beverage programs. The Nolen, located on the rooftop on its Courtyard San Diego Gaslamp and featuring stunning views alongside modern yet timeless cocktails, was voted best rooftop bar in 2022 in San Diego. HQ, the rooftop bar situated atop its Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Downtown, experienced its best year ever with the rebound of the Dallas market. The bar’s rooftop open-air indoor & outdoor lounge offers skyline views of Downtown Dallas while one can enjoy hand crafted cocktails and small bites.

Recently, Island opened Toasted Barrel inside the Residence Inn by Marriott San Diego Downtown/Gaslamp Quarter. Located in the heart of Gaslamp Quarter, this marks the third location of Island Hospitality’s homegrown F&B concept that can be described as an “All-American, bourbon forward” restaurant. The menu features specialty grilled cheese sandwiches, bourbon and craft cocktails with a San Diego flair.

“Our pipeline remains full, and we continue to have high expectations for the year,” Forde added. “We look to build on last year’s momentum and are on track to have multiple announcements for new deals in the coming weeks and months. 2023 has the makings of a record year for Island, with expansion into new markets and segments.”
